ReqView collaboration portal

This site is used to enable team collaboration for ReqView (www.reqview.com) - a tool for requirement management and traceability.

Functionality

The Malsen Medical Reqview collaboration portal allows secure check-out of documents within a Reqview database and syncronization between all project members.

Reqview is installed at each client computer. The full database of the Reqview project is stored on the local machine in a folder connected with a subversion (SVN) client. The client is connected with Reqview server of Malsen Medical. The SVN on the client side communicates with the Malsen Medical server to enable seamless collaboration.

When a user opens (checks-out) a document for editing it is then locked for the others. Any changes are then syncronized to all project members. In this manner everyone works on the same version of the database (although the database itself is local to each client).

Getting started

In order to use this system you need the following:

‎‎‎‎‎‎‎Install Reqview (www.reqview.com). Floating licenses are available at Malsen Medical.

Install Subversion (SVN).

Credentials for login. This will be provided by your project leader.

Training will be provided by Malsen Medical.
